It was private residence of Ottoman Sultans from 19th to the 19th centuries exhibiting sacred Islamic Relics of Prophet Mohammed, imperial treasury, Chinese porcelain, weapons & calligraphy etc. Harem section is not included in the program and visit is due to extra entrance fee.

It was largest church in the world for 1000 years.
