Flight to Mardin at 07:35 with Turkish Airlines flight numbered TK 2674. After our arrival in Mardin at 09:30, we start our excursion program on the first day after placing our belongings in the vehicle waiting at the airport. The first stop is Dara, one of the largest and impressive ancient cities in the region. Afterwards, we continue on the road and reach the town of Savur, which we can call miniature Mardin. The steep streets of the town lead us to one of the traditional mansions. After getting information about the local life and visiting Savur, we bid farewell to the hospitable Savur residents and take a short break for lunch (extra). Then we stop by an old Syriac village, which is mostly derelict and has an impressive atmosphere with its stone structures. The streets of this village, which stands out with its stone-built houses and Syriac wines, are a perfect plateau for taking pictures. At the end of the day, we move to our hotel. After breakfast at our hotel, we start our tour of Mardin. First, we visit the Deyr-ül Zafaran Monastery and Kasımiye Madrasa, one of the most beautiful symbols of Mardin's architecture and multi-coloured culture. Then lunch break (extra). After the meal, our tour in the city center consists of structures identified with Mardin culture and architecture such as Kırklar Church, Ulucami, Authentic Bazaars and Kayseriye Bedesten, Historical Mardin Houses and abbaras, and Mardin PTT House. Then we turn our route to Midyat. The State Guest House, which recently hosted the shooting of the Sıla series, includes the streets of Midyat and the bazaar where special examples of filigree craftsmanship are presented. Then we visit the Mor Gabriel (Deyr-ül Umur) Monastery. At the end of the day, we move to our hotel. Hotel: Babel Mansion etc.
